Challenge Statement: Smart Cities are successful if they serve all citizens including elderly, those that can’t or don’t know how to use technology, and non-English speaking people. Background: I love Smart Cities, using technology, and social media to make my life better. But there are Calgarians and Canadians who can't. Become Canadian leaders in dementia care

Create dementia villages with services, amenities and environments that provide an alternative to hospitalization or institutionalization and provides full scope of support and care for all vulnerable dementia patients and their families. Nobody should suffer from dementia without the benefit of a caring community. Calgary can become a leader in giving people with dementia the dignity they deserve.
